Location

the old malt house

The tiny hamlet of Ruan Lanihorne, also known as Ruanlanihorne, is located in the wonderfully picturesque peninsula of the Roseland. It overlooks the Ruan River saltings and the Fal Estuary with great views. It is a bird lovers paradise as it provides a haven for the waders and waterfowl. The gentle hills and leafy lanes are a joy for the walking enthusiasts and explorers. It is remote, rural but still only two and a half miles from Tregony with its shops and pubs.

Few places in Cornwall compare to the Roseland – one of the most picturesque and unspoilt parts of the British Isles. Lovely beaches and cliffs, delightful rivers, lush gardens and countryside, pretty villages and hamlets all make the Roseland the perfect holiday setting.

Here you can walk the cliffs or riverbanks, swim off the beaches, browse the shops, sail, windsurf, waterski, dive, snorkel, fish and birdwatch. During the summer months there are many carnivals and fetes, regattas and gig racing, not to mention the heavy horse show and all the wonderful gardens open to the public.

Ruan Lanihorne is nessled between St Mawes to the south and Truro to the North. It has close proximity to the villages of Portscatho, Veryan and Portloe.
